Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has retracted his statements about US President-elect Donald Trump's ties to Russian intelligence services.
The Polish Prime Minister made a corresponding statement at a press conference on November 9.
Tusk's words are quoted by MIA "Russia Today" .
Last year, at a meeting with voters, Tusk said that Trump's dependence on Russian intelligence services was no longer up for discussion.
At a press conference, journalist Monika Rutke reminded the Polish Prime Minister of this statement.
I have never made such proposals, replied the head of the Polish government.
He also said that Trump is more pro-Russian than current US President Joseph Biden.
Later, the journalist wrote on the social network X that after the press conference, the prime minister's office informed her that they were ending their cooperation with her. Tusk's office denied this information.
There were no words suggesting that the journalist's presence at future press conferences should be excluded, the office of the head of the Polish government stated.
Tusk has repeatedly accused Trump of not being anti-Russian enough.
In March, the Polish Prime Minister said that Trump’s victory would lead to a reduction in pressure on Russia, and in April, he said that Trump’s return to the White House would not be beneficial to Poland.
Following Trump's victory, the opposition Law and Justice party called for Tusk and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to resign.
Before the 2016 election, US intelligence agencies monitored members of his campaign staff based on an unconfirmed report about Trump's ties to Moscow.
After Trump's victory, Special Counsel Robert Mueller spent two years investigating the "Russia affair" but found no evidence of collusion.
Last May, Special Counsel John Durham issued a report that found the U.S. intelligence agencies had no real evidence. Durham concluded that the FBI should never have opened the investigation.
