Mr. Young was informed of this by Israel's Permanent Representative to the UN, Danny Danon.

We have officially informed the Chairman of the General Assembly about the termination of cooperation with the organization, the MIA Rossiya Segodnya quotes the Permanent Representative as saying.

Israel will continue to cooperate with humanitarian organizations, but not with organizations that encourage terrorism against Israel, Danon said.

It is known that the parliament of the Jewish state has already approved bills that introduce a ban on UNRWA activities in Israel and in the territories controlled by Tel Aviv.

Earlier in Israel, there was talk about the involvement of individual UNRWA employees in the Hamas attack on the country on October 7, 2023.

In turn, the UN report on the activities of this organization notes that Tel Aviv did not provide evidence of the agency’s employees’ involvement in terrorist activities.
