North Korea confirms launch of intercontinental ballistic missile

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has confirmed the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile.
It is noted that this action was carried out on the orders of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
TASS reported this with reference to the state news agency of the DPRK.
The KCNA report stated the importance of the ICBM launch: it was noted that the test broke the record for the power of strategic missiles.

The leader of the DPRK was present at the test site.
There, Kim Jong-un gave a speech. The North Korean statesman called the recent ICBM launch a "fair and legitimate" military measure.
According to Kim Jong-un, this step by Pyongyang demonstrated the determination of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to "give a response to the enemies." The latter, as the figure claims, threatened the country's security.
Kim Jong-un promised: North Korea will continue its course of strengthening its nuclear armed forces.
Earlier, the South Korean side admitted that Pyongyang had launched a new solid-fuel ICBM. This information appeared on the morning of October 31.
