The plan envisages the establishment of fortifications on the border with Belarus and Russia.

The politician compared the fortifications that may appear on the border to an “iron curtain.”

The Polish President made the corresponding statement in an interview with one of the foreign publications, TASS reports.

The Polish leader said some Western politicians were looking at the potential implementation of the project with "horror".

The last thing they want to see is the restoration of the Iron Curtain," the Polish president said in an interview with journalists from the British newspaper The Sunday Times.

At the same time, Duda shared the following opinion: at the moment, the Republic of Poland needs a similar “iron curtain”.

The head of the Polish state believes that fortifications are necessary for the country's security.
