The National Interest magazine has compiled its own ranking of the best tanks in the world.
The top 5 included Russian tanks T-14 Armata and T-90M Proryv, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the authors, no list of the best modern tanks can be called complete without the T-14 Armata.
This tank has unique characteristics that reduce its vulnerability and increase crew safety due to the special design of the unmanned turret with a 125-mm smoothbore automatic cannon with remote control mounted on it.
In turn, the improved characteristics of the T-90M Proryv tank make it more effective in combat.
The article states that the upgraded T-90 tank has significantly improved protection, mobility and firepower.
The main combat unit of the tank is equipped with a fundamentally new turret and a more powerful 1130 horsepower engine.
Of course, the title of “best” was awarded not only to Russian-made tanks.
According to the compilers of the list, this could be the name of the American M1A2 Abrams SEPv2, the South Korean K2 Black Panther, and the Israeli Merkava V.
