Netanyahu calls on UN Secretary General to withdraw peacekeepers from fighting in Lebanon
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in a video message to withdraw UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeepers from the combat zone in the Israeli-Lebanese border area.

What Netanyahu called on Guterres to do
On the night of October 1, Israel launched a ground operation in the border areas of southern Lebanon.
On 10 October, UNIFIL reported that its strongholds and headquarters were being shelled by Israel.
Two peacekeepers were wounded. Israel said the injuries were accidental.
Netanyahu said in a video message that Israel regretted what happened and called on Guterres to remove the peacekeepers from the attack.
