The head of the South Korean Ministry of Defense claims that Pyongyang may send troops to support Russian servicemen in the SVO zone.

At the same time, Kim Yong Hyun refers to reports of the death of DPRK soldiers and officers in the SVO zone, which, according to him, may “correspond to reality.”

The South Korean Defense Ministry considers it likely that North Korean military personnel could be sent to the SVO zone in Ukraine, the Renhap agency reports.

Military personnel may be sent on missions to provide assistance to Russia.

The Ministry of Defense refers to the fact that Russia and the DPRK signed an agreement that they compare to a military alliance.

Therefore, the probability of a “soldier” mission is high.

Speaking about the death of soldiers and officers of the Korean People's Army in the SVO zone, the head of the South Korean Ministry of Defense does not provide any evidence, but claims that there is a high probability that these reports may "correspond to reality."

Let us add that the message about the death of the DPRK military was published by Ukrainian media.

The agreement to which Kim Yong Hyon refers was concluded between Russia and the DPRK on June 19.

It speaks of a comprehensive strategic partnership, which includes the provision of military assistance in the event of a defensive war.
