Biden orders release of all funds intended for Ukraine

US President Joe Biden has addressed senior Pentagon officials with an important order.

He ordered that the remaining funds intended for military aid to Ukraine be allocated by the end of his presidential term.

I have instructed the Ministry of Defense to direct all of its remaining funds to assist in the security sphere, which were allocated to help Ukraine, by the end of my tenure, the head of state’s statement is quoted as saying by MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

It is noted that the US Department of Defense may use $5.5 billion within the framework of the PDA initiative.

Under this program, Ukraine receives military equipment from Pentagon warehouses.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense must also provide assistance to Kyiv in the amount of $2.4 billion within the framework of the "Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative".

This program provides the opportunity to purchase new weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian military.

According to the terms of the initiative, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will provide, among other things, air defense systems, drones, and ammunition.
