Vietnam is experiencing terrible blows from Super Typhoon Yagi that has hit the country.
The disaster, according to the latest data, has claimed dozens of lives. The number of victims, as the media writes, has grown to 59 people.
In particular, the TASS agency reported this with reference to the Vietnamese news portal VnExpress.
According to published information, people died mainly as a result of powerful landslides and floods caused by heavy rains.
A super typhoon has brought torrential rains that have not stopped for several days to northern Vietnam.
It was reported that today, September 9, a road bridge over a river collapsed due to flooding in Phu Tho province.
At that moment, more than 10 vehicles were moving along it. The 13 people in the cars are considered missing.
And in Cao Bang province, a bus with 20 passengers was caught in a landslide. Their fate is still unknown.
Recall that earlier it was reported that the same super typhoon attacked China. More than 1,200,000 local residents suffered to one degree or another.
According to local media, at least three people were killed and at least 95 more were injured.
As for Vietnam, experts from the National Committee for Disaster Response and Search and Rescue say Yagi was the strongest typhoon to hit the country in 30 years.
As a result of the fury of the elements, large-scale destruction of buildings and infrastructure facilities was recorded, and serious damage was caused to agricultural lands.
