Vietnam names death toll from super typhoon Yagi

A super typhoon named Yagi has hit northern Vietnam.

At least 14 people died as a result of the natural disaster.

In addition, more than 180 people are known to have been injured.

Less than 24 hours later, wind speeds reached more than 50 meters per second, making the storm a super typhoon.

It is known that several large settlements were affected by the natural disaster, including the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, which is home to more than 8 million people.

There is information about damage to a large number of buildings, several hundred power transmission line supports, almost three dozen electrical substations and a huge number of trees, as well as the sinking of several dozen sea vessels and more than 121,000 hectares of cropland.
