Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto condemned the idea of Ukraine using Western weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.

The Hungarian minister's attitude was reported by Zoltan Kovacs, a representative of the office of the head of government of the Central European country.

Kovacs stressed that Szijjarto described Kiev's plan to use weapons supplied by the West to strike deep into Russian territory as "a dangerous escalation."

The Hungarian Secretary of State for International Communications shared this information on his social media page, TASS reports.

Kovacs also spoke about another statement by Szijjártó.

Let us recall that Peter Szijjarto became the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry in September 2014. Viktor Orban has been the head of the Hungarian government since May 2010.
