Ukrainian Foreign Minister Resigns

Just recently, information about a high-profile personnel issue in Ukraine has spread at lightning speed.

According to local, Russian and Western media, the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kuleba, has submitted his resignation.

The primary source of this information, according to publications, including MIA "Russia Today", is the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The application will be considered at one of the next plenary sessions, journalists quote the head of the Ukrainian parliament as saying.

The Russian news agency draws attention to the fact that the day before, some media outlets in Ukraine wrote about the possibility of Kuleba’s dismissal.

They suggest that Andrei Sybiga, who currently holds the post of Deputy Foreign Minister, may be appointed in his place.

The media also point to a statement by the leader of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, about the upcoming “big reboot of the government.”

In particular, he suggested that up to half of the Cabinet of Ministers could be replaced.

Stefanchuk said that the following high-ranking officials have already submitted resignation letters:

- Minister of Justice Denis Malyuska;
- Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin;
- Minister of Environmental Protection Ruslan Strelets;
– Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna.

Later, they were joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration Iryna Vereshchuk, who filed a similar statement.
