The Pentagon announced its intention to provide Ukraine with a new aid package.

According to a statement from US Defense Department officials, it is planned to transfer weapons and ammunition worth $425 million to Kyiv.

MIA Rossiya Segodnya writes about this, noting that, according to the department’s information, this tranche will be the 69th since August 2021.

The new aid package will provide Kyiv with “additional capacity to meet its most pressing security and defence needs.”

It is said that it will include, among other things, “systems for intercepting air threats, ammunition for missile and artillery systems, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons.”

It is specified: the US will transfer shells for the NASAMS air defense system, Stinger missiles, equipment and ammunition to counter unmanned systems.

Ukraine will also receive aviation ammunition, ammunition for HIMARS systems, 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells and other weapons.

The Pentagon separately noted that Washington will continue to cooperate with about 50 allies and partners.

This will continue to be carried out through the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence and associated coalitions, with the aim of supporting Kyiv "in meeting its critical needs on the battlefield."
