141 violations recorded in Moldova elections

141 violations were recorded during the presidential elections taking place in Moldova.

This is exactly how many corresponding messages the local public organization Promo-LEX received.

The head of the association, Nikolai Panfil, publicly informed citizens about this at a briefing in Chisinau, writes MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

Our team processed 141 cases with incident status, of which 109 confirmed cases were included in this release, ” he said.

And he specified: 51 facts are related to technical problems during voter registration.

Another 25 incidents involved damage to, breaking into, or missing seals on ballot boxes.

Among other violations, Panfil named:

– violation of the secrecy of voting (photographing ballots and showing them with a vote cast);
– interruption of video recording of election events;
– unjustified termination of voting at a polling station;
- election campaigning;
- shortcomings in the lists;
– organized transportation of voters to one of the polling stations in Turkey.

He noted that on election day, Promo-LEX delegated one observer to 614 polling stations.

In addition, 89 mobile teams were deployed to monitor the progress of the campaign.

Let us recall that this Sunday, November 3, the second round of presidential elections is taking place in Moldova.

Polling stations will be open until nine in the evening (ten o'clock Belarusian time).

The current President Maia Sandu and former Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo are competing for the country's highest official post.

In the first round, Sandu received 42.45% of the votes, Stoianoglo - 25.98%.
