The summer cottage season is coming to an end.

However, it is too early for gardeners and vegetable growers to relax: there is still a lot of work to do.

There are still a few important steps to take on each suburban area.

The lunar calendar will help you create the correct work plan for the second week of October.

It also makes sense to collect fallen leaves: they can be used to cover the soil around tree trunks.

In the garden, you need to loosen the soil and add fertilizer.

It is also advisable to remove weeds and use pest control products.

October 8

On the second day of the week, again, you can start planting grapes.

In addition, it is worth setting aside time to treat the trees from uninvited "guests" that may appear in the garden in winter. We are talking about rodents.

You also need to do some gardening work: cultivating the soil, applying fertilizers, thinning out the seedlings in the greenhouse.

October 9

This Wednesday it makes sense to plant raspberries and currants. The period suitable for planting grapes also continues.

But you shouldn't plant fruit trees: today is not a good day for that.

In the garden, you need to continue cultivating the soil, adding nutrients and fighting weeds.

October 10

This Thursday is ideal for the following work: you can plant those bushes whose root system is closed.

It also makes sense to hill up young garden plants: they need to be protected from the adverse weather conditions expected in winter.

The tenth day of the second autumn month can be devoted to two gardening tasks: loosening the soil and using remedies against plant diseases.

October 11

In the garden on this day you need to start harvesting. And you also need to prune those garden plants that have a strong root system.

It is also worth planting grapes, gooseberries and walnuts.

There is no need to water garden crops.

In the city, it is necessary to continue digging up the soil cover and providing plants with protection from diseases and dangerous insects.

October 12

On the first day off this week you can harvest the garden and plant gooseberries and grapes.

As for gardening, the following activities are welcome: soil cultivation and planting herbs. Watering and fertilizing are currently prohibited.

October 13

Today it is worth planting grapes, strawberries and currants, if this has not been done before.

In the garden, again, it is necessary to fight pests and diseases. But the cultivation of the soil cover should be stopped.
