A plastic bag or cling film can easily serve as an emergency measure to protect plants.

All that is required from the gardener is to wrap the damaged area tightly with the selected material and secure the “wrapper” with rope or tape.

Special preparations

Instead of garden pitch, it is allowed to use garden balms, varnish-balms and pastes - firstly, they protect the bark, and secondly, they have healing and bactericidal properties.

Bactericidal mastic is also suitable for this purpose. True, the mass, reminiscent of plasticine, does not adhere very well to large cuts or wounds, but is convenient to use during vaccination.
