Firstly, marigolds need to be planted at the end of March – beginning of April, not earlier.
Secondly, it is necessary to plant the seedlings in a certain way. In one hole we place up to three plants at a distance of up to three centimeters from each other, the distance to the next hole is 20-25 cm.
Thirdly, pinching. It is believed that this procedure can delay flowering, but this is true only for low-growing varieties. For rejected marigolds, pinching is mandatory.
The procedure is carried out after six true leaves appear. After four weeks, the pinching is repeated.
It is also necessary to provide marigolds with sufficient light and moisture and use fertilizers.
