What should not be planted next to thuja
Since thuja requires slightly acidic soil, it should not be planted nearby with plants that prefer alkaline soil.
The following should not grow next to thuja: violets, lavender, boxwood, rock rose, geranium, bellflower, carnation.
Of the vegetables, it is recommended to plant cabbage, cucumbers, beans, pumpkins, and strawberries further away.
Also, do not plant thujas near fruit trees and shrubs. Thujas emit phytoncides that reduce fruit yields.
The distance between thujas and fruit trees (bushes) should be 6 meters.
