Five days before harvesting onions, three simple but very important procedures must be carried out.
Thanks to these procedures, the onions will dry faster and will be stored for a long time.
Firstly, 5 days before harvesting the onions, you must completely stop watering.
Secondly, you need to rake away the soil from each bulb to the shoulders.
Do not neglect this procedure under any circumstances. In rainy weather, the bulbs may begin to rot from excess moisture.
Thirdly, if the feather does not fall easily to the ground, it is necessary to bend the neck.
This is extremely important, there must be an outflow of nutrients from the leaves into the bulbs.
