Weather conditions do not always allow peppers to ripen properly before the onset of cold weather.
Therefore, sometimes it is advisable to take measures to speed up ripening.
This can be done by pruning. It should be done with pruning shears.
Firstly, it is necessary to remove stepchildren throughout the season so that excess foliage does not interfere with the ripening of the fruit.
This does not mean that you need to remove all the leaves. But if there are too many, the plants may start to get sick.
At the beginning of August, you can start trimming the tops. We count 4-5 leaves from the beginning of the branch, remove the excess.
After pruning, do not forget to remove all the removed leaves; they cannot be left in the garden bed.
