Among the many recipes for feeding cucumbers, Professor Makaev’s method stands out.
Experienced summer residents say that it has long established itself in terms of simplicity and efficiency of the process.
We are talking about "treating" cucumbers with soda, which is very useful for them. By the way, it can also be used to disinfect planting material.
Soda also fights various pests and diseases perfectly, and can also reduce soil acidity.
Soda is especially useful for cucumbers if they grow slowly or if they have a lot of barren flowers.
And finally, thanks to this solution, the taste of cucumbers improves.
In this case, it is acceptable to use both regular baking soda and calcined soda.
In the latter case, it is recommended to prepare the solution with gloves and add half as many substances.
So, let's prepare the solution: add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a container with 5 liters of warm water.
Mix thoroughly. Water the cucumbers twice a season. The first time - a couple of weeks after planting the seedlings, the second - 3 weeks after the first procedure.
To prevent barren flowers, add a tablespoon of soda and 5 drops of iodine to a five-liter bucket of water, mix and water under the roots.
To increase the yield and taste, add 2 tablespoons of soda, 100-150 grams of wood ash and 30 grams of grated soap to a container with 10 liters of water.
We mix all this thoroughly and spray the beds in the evening.
