How to fertilize tomatoes during flowering: the simplest feeding scheme, and the result is amazing

At the moment when the tomatoes bloom with the first brush, the gardener will have to slow down their growth a little and switch them to fruiting mode.

Remember: your goal is maximum ovaries and minimum green mass.

What needs to be done for this? You will achieve the desired result if you provide tomatoes with available phosphorus, a minimum amount of nitrogen and sufficient micronutrients such as boron, zinc, molybdenum, manganese and copper, as well as magnesium.

As a result, the tomato will slow down its active growth, realizing that the fruiting process has begun.

Mineral fertilizers

Among the wide range of mineral fertilizers, choose monopotassium phosphate, orthophosphoric acid and Plantafol 10-54-10.

Organics

Of the organic fertilizers, chicken manure is suitable in limited quantities (100-200 g per 10 l).

Alternatively, use ash, but it is better if you do it in combination with chicken manure.

Next steps

Every two weeks, tomatoes should be fertilized with calcium nitrate and microelements. The main fertilizer should be balanced, for example, 20-20-20, since the upper part of the plant blooms and needs phosphorus and microelements, the middle green part requires nitrogen, and the lower part, where ripening begins, requires potassium.

While the tomatoes are green, continue to give a complete equal fertilizer, and then gradually reduce the amount of nitrogen.

Earlier we told you what you can plant in your garden in July.
