The first mistake is that when a flower appears on a parthenocarpic cucumber, the gardener is already preparing to harvest the fruits. Instead, he should blind the first 3-4 cucumber flowers to prevent the cucumber from blooming and thereby slowing down its growth.
The second mistake is that gardeners leave the lower leaves. When shaping vertically, do not be afraid to tear off the lower leaves - they prevent ventilation of the root system, which causes various diseases, and the plant may die.
The third mistake is improper watering. Make sure that the plant receives two liters of water per day, and it is best if it is supplied by drip irrigation.
The next mistake occurs during harvesting, when the gardener, while picking cucumbers, steps on the root system of the plant. If you do the same, be prepared for the root system to be torn and the plant to die.
Finally, the fifth mistake is also related to the harvest, or more precisely, to the untimely collection of fruits.
Cucumbers ripen very quickly, so it is recommended to pick them every other day. This will ensure the fruits have the correct shape, and will also allow the plant to retain strength and nutrients.
