To get a good harvest of onions, you need to regularly feed them with certain fertilizers.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, told us what fertilizers onions need.
For active growth, onions need nitrogen fertilizers, to increase resistance to temperature changes - potassium, to protect against diseases - phosphorus.
It is better to give preference to mineral fertilizers - ammonium nitrate, potassium salt, nitrophoska, etc.
Onions also love wood ash. You can simply sprinkle it over the bed (half a kilo of fertilizer per square meter of soil).
The second option is ash infusion. Pour 300 grams of ash with 10 liters of boiling water and leave for 3 days.
Earlier, the expert explained whether it is possible to plant carrots and dill together.
