How to feed cherries and sweet cherries in May
Two weeks after flowering, it is recommended to feed the cherry and sweet cherry trees with fertilizer based on wood ash and mullein.
To feed young trees, take a bucket of mullein and a kilogram of ash per 7 buckets of water. The mixture should be infused for a week.
For fruit-bearing trees, take a bucket of mullein and one and a half kilograms of ash per 6 buckets of water.
Each tree requires two to three liters of fertilizer. If there is no mullein, you can use ammophoska.
If the tree is young, 20 grams of ammophoska and 150 grams of ash are added per square meter of the trunk circle; if the tree is fruiting, 230 grams of ammophoska and 200 grams of ash are added.
