Many summer residents who are eager to evaluate the results of their own work are concerned about the answer to the question of when they can start planting seedlings in a permanent place.
The answer was given by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
According to her, it is worth starting this undoubtedly fascinating activity when the soil warms up to a temperature of 13-14 (or better 15) degrees at a depth of about 20 cm.
If we are talking about sweet peppers and eggplants, you will have to wait longer: until the soil temperature reaches 16 degrees Celsius.
Otherwise, if these recommendations are not followed, the seedlings will be sick for a long time.
If we talk about onion seedlings or any other cold-resistant crops, the situation is somewhat different.
They can be planted as soon as the soil has thawed.
In this case, the soil temperature does not matter, since such crops are able to grow and develop even when the thermometer shows only 2-4 degrees above zero.
Earlier we talked about what needs to be added to the holes when planting potatoes.
