If your garden plot is not very large, which means that the space for planting potatoes is strictly limited, you can use the method from this article.

An expert from the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared it with us, and it consists of planting potatoes in buckets or bags.

Among other things, this method allows you to get a very early potato harvest, since the buckets are heated, which speeds up the vegetation process of the plants.

To plant potatoes using this method, you will need an old bucket or any other container of similar size.

Fill the container with fertile soil, or better yet, half garden soil and half rotted compost. It is also recommended to throw a handful of ash inside.

Plant already sprouted potato tubers at a depth of 15 cm.

After this, take the buckets and the greenhouse - it will develop faster there, and when the weather becomes warm enough and the threat of frost has passed, you can take the potatoes outside.

An important nuance: if you are using large tubers, it is better to look for another method, since with this method of planting they do not grow.

But there is also a plus: potatoes have time to escape from various diseases (for example, late blight), since late blight, as a rule, occurs in the second half of summer, and potatoes have time to fully grow by this time.

Earlier we talked about when to plant zucchini in open ground.
