First of all, she drew attention to the fact that wood ash is a source of potassium and some other useful substances.
Therefore, it is used as a fertilizer (dry or in the form of an infusion).
Many garden plants, including tomatoes, are fertilized with ash, the specialist noted.
Before planting, dry ash is usually poured into the hole, usually in the amount of one handful, and mixed with the soil.
Ash is also used for feeding in combination with other substances, for example, with chicken manure and rotted manure, eggshells, superphosphate, etc.
