Strawberries that do not bloom do not bear fruit. The first thought in such a case is to replant.
But what to do if it is still a young berry? In fact, the plant has many reasons to stop blooming.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, explained what is wrong with strawberries.
1. If the gardener chose the wrong planting depth. Check how deep the rosette is. In this case, the bush may stop growing altogether.
2. It is possible that the strawberries overwintered completely open, which is also unacceptable, as a frosty winter can weaken the plant.
3. Perhaps the condition of the soil leaves much to be desired, or the gardener did not apply fertilizers or fertilizers.
4. Also think about the dosage of fertilizers. For example, excess nitrogen can make the bush grow green mass. The plant simply will not "think" about reproduction.
5. Male varieties – literally a couple of them in one bed will be enough. They do not yield a harvest, and there is no point in planting them in abundance.
6. If this is a remontant strawberry, then it is quite possible that it was not looked after properly or the bush has degenerated.
7. Also think about lighting. If the bushes do not have enough sunlight, as happens even in partial shade, there will be no harvest.
