In the spring, strawberry bushes need proper feeding.

Using the right fertilizers at the beginning of the gardening season almost guarantees a bountiful harvest.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer, told us what exactly needs to be fed to strawberries in the spring so that there will be a lot of berries in the end.

Important spring feeding for strawberries

After the snow has melted and the soil has dried out a little, it is necessary to replenish the nitrogen deficiency.

Without this microelement, the plant is unlikely to gain green mass.

The following fertilizers contain sufficient nitrogen components: urea (1 teaspoon per bucket of water), nitroammophoska (1 tablespoon per liter of liquid), cow manure, chicken manure.

Before fertilizing the crop, it is necessary to remove dried leaf blades and loosen the soil between the rows.

During the second feeding (when flower buds begin to appear), the gardener should focus on potassium (good options are potassium nitrate and an infusion of unburned wood residues).

And the third fertilizer added should be a source of boron.

Earlier, summer residents were told how to prepare the soil before planting tomatoes.
