March weather is very changeable, but it is the best time to sow flowers, especially some of them.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told us which flowers to sow in March.

Verbena

This is an easy-to-care plant that blooms with bright flowers until frost sets in. Seedlings are grown in March. The first shoots can be seen in 15 days. It is transplanted to a permanent location in May.

When replanting, remember that verbena needs space, so seedlings should be located at a distance of 25-30 cm from each other.

Phlox annual

The seedlings are grown in March. The flower loves light, and shoots appear in 5-8 days.

The plant is transplanted to a permanent place in April or May, when the soil has warmed up well. Flowers on phloxes will begin to appear in June and will last until frost.

Alyssum annua

This plant has a honey aroma and delicate flowers.

The seedlings are grown from mid-March. The first shoots can be seen in 10-12 days. The plant is moved to open ground at the end of May.

Snapdragon

The seeds of this plant are planted directly into the soil when it is well warmed up. However, during March planting it is better to sow them for seedlings.

Mix the seeds with sand, sprinkle with soil and water.

The first shoots will appear in 10 days. It is transplanted to a permanent place in 1.5-2 months. The plant blooms from June to November.

Cleome

This flower can bloom until frost. In March, you can sow seeds for seedlings, and transplant from mid-May.

Cleome also loves space, so plant seedlings at a distance of 50 cm.

Petunia

It is grown in pots and used to decorate the terrace. The seeds should be sown superficially, and the shoots will emerge in 1-2 weeks.

The plant is planted in open ground when there is no longer any frost at a distance of 30-35 cm.

Lavender

Lavender is also suitable for sowing in March. The first shoots will appear in two weeks. And you can transplant it into the ground when warm weather without frost sets in.

Lavender needs sun. It can repel insects and pests, which is why it is best grown under the windows in the kitchen or living room. The plant will delight with flowers until October.
