If your pepper harvest is poor, it may be due to crops growing nearby.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us which plants are strictly forbidden to plant near peppers.

What crops are not planted near peppers

Firstly, cabbage should not grow next to peppers. It will take away all the moisture and nutrients.

Secondly, peppers will not do well with cucumbers and tomatoes. Tomatoes and cucumbers are moisture-loving crops, and peppers are extremely sensitive to over-watering.

Thirdly, do not plant potatoes and eggplants next to peppers. They will infect the peppers with diseases.
