Soaking tomato seeds before planting not only speeds up the germination process, but also increases their immunity and ensures more uniform and strong shoots.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what experienced summer residents use to carry out this procedure.

Wood ash solution

Wood ash contains many useful microelements that promote rapid germination of seeds and accelerate plant development. To prepare the solution, add 2 tablespoons of wood ash to 1 liter of water and let it sit for 24 hours.

Hydrogen peroxide solution

This drug from the pharmacy has disinfectant properties, which helps prevent the development of various diseases in plants. According to one recipe, to prepare a solution, you need to mix 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 0.5 liters of water.

Succinic acid solution

Succinic acid is a plant growth stimulant and improves their immune system. To obtain a solution suitable for soaking, add 1 gram of succinic acid to 1 liter of warm water.

Aloe solution

This plant is known to boast anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which are also beneficial for plants. To soak the seed, aloe juice is usually mixed with water in a ratio of 1:10.
