To ensure that the seedlings grow strong and don’t get sick, you need to properly prepare the seeds for planting in the ground.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us how to treat seed material.

What to soak seeds in

The seedlings will sprout much faster if you soak the seeds in a 3% solution of boric acid before planting them in the soil.

Boric acid is an excellent growth stimulant. Soak for an hour. After an hour, plant immediately.

A day after planting, it is recommended to treat the soil with a solution of brilliant green (three drops of brilliant green per liter of water).

This is done to disinfect the soil. After the shoots appear, the procedure can be repeated (on the leaf).
