In the world of floriculture, pelargonium is deservedly popular due to its unpretentiousness and abundant flowering.
However, in order for this process to be as bright and lush as possible, the plant needs help, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, an agronomist and landscape designer.
To ensure that the pelargonium leaves are dark green and do not fall off, and that flowering is abundant and long-lasting, try using iodine.
To prepare the solution, you will need to add 1 drop of iodine to 1 liter of boiled (cooled) water.
The most convenient way to measure the required amount of the drug is with a pipette.
In addition, you will need to add another remedy from the pharmacy to the solution – a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide.
After everything is thoroughly mixed, water the pelargonium (preliminary watering is not necessary). One flower will need 300 ml of fertilizer.
Iodine nutrient solution is added from October to April, at intervals of 3-4 weeks.
