The mole cricket can be safely called a real nightmare for gardeners. Its appearance is frightening even in the picture, but the real danger is that it can destroy, without exaggeration, the entire harvest.

Mole crickets prefer acidic and moist soil, they are very mobile and live underground, where they make their holes and eat plant roots.

As reported by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , such actions of the pest cause enormous damage to the harvest, since damaged roots open the gates for infections, the plants get sick and the yield falls or disappears altogether.

Throughout the summer, the mole cricket can be caught using bait made from ordinary porridge.

Cook millet or pearl barley without salt and milk, season it with aromatic vegetable oil and a synthetic insecticide, such as Regent or Aktara (if you choose the latter option, you will need about 1 gram of the preparation per liter of porridge).

Mix everything thoroughly, and the porridge, tasty for the bear and at the same time carrying a mortal danger for the pest, is ready.

Bury it in the ground. It is enough to add a tablespoon of porridge to each hole.

This method is certainly "chemical", but sometimes it is the only way to get rid of pests.
