Many owners of their own plots, where these plants can be seen, call conifers truly unique creations.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , coniferous plants can and even should be used to decorate gardens and parks, because they create a truly unique atmosphere of coziness and harmony.

But growing conifers, as well as any other crops, has its own nuances.

One of them is tying up plants. Let's figure out why you need to tie up coniferous plants.

Firstly, conifers need garters to give them the desired shape. Secondly, conifers are usually tied up when pruning, and thirdly, garters are simply necessary if you want to protect conifers from damage to branches in winter due to strong wind or snow.

The optimal option for garter is an elastic band, the width of which is selected depending on the size of the tree.

If you have to deal with small “specimens”, then use a tape 3-4 cm wide, while large ones, for example, thuja Brabant, are tied with a tape 5-6 cm wide.

Earlier, the expert warned against planting these plants next to cherry trees.
