Slugs and Colorado beetles can be safely classified as pests that quickly increase in number.
It is enough to miss the moment of their appearance, and pests begin to show an amazing level of activity in the summer cottage.
However, they can be easily overcome by “arming yourself” with ordinary mustard powder, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication “BelNovosti”, agronomist and landscape designer.
How to do it
Against the Colorado potato beetle
In order to quickly and effectively deal with the pest, you need to try the following method. You will first need to dissolve the powder (200 grams) in a small amount of water.
Then pour the concentrate into a bucket of water. Strengthen the composition with five spoons of vinegar and a small amount of soap.
After just a few treatments, you will notice that there are no traces of Colorado beetles left.
Against slugs
If you do not protect your crops from slugs in any way, they will quickly destroy them. Despite the fact that the pest does not look large, it absorbs food extremely quickly.
Therefore, you can easily and simply protect your plantings from slugs.
Add a little mustard powder to the mulch layer. You can even sprinkle the paths with the hottest pepper.
