How to achieve a lush crown of a money tree: use these tips - and forget about a stick with a couple of leaves
The money tree or fat woman is an unpretentious plant that can often be seen standing in a pot on a windowsill.
However, many gardeners complain that its crown often looks modest, while the stems, on the contrary, are massive. The expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what to do so that the crown of the fat woman becomes an adornment of the home flower garden.
In order for crown care to bear fruit, you will need to comply with two conditions, which, fortunately, are not difficult.
The first of them is: the height of the plant should not exceed 15 cm.
The second is that the fat plant must have at least 4 full leaves formed.
To make the plant look aesthetically pleasing, it is recommended to trim the crown from a young age and avoid the appearance of unsightly “stumps”.
To make a small crassula start branching, you need to carefully pinch off the two top leaves. You can pinch off more leaves, but it is important to leave the two largest leaves at the end of the branch. The plant will start branching in the places where you pinch off.
But this does not mean that you can "ignore" the health of an adult flower. The crown of an adult money tree must be formed, observing all the same principles. However, most likely, you will need to shorten the branches - and in this case, the appearance of "stumps" that are unlikely to grow foliage cannot be avoided.
