Houseplants require regular fertilization because the limited amount of soil quickly runs out of nutrients.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about which fertilizers are best to choose and how to apply them correctly.

Ammophos

Ammophos contains a large amount of potassium and phosphorus, so it is excellent for fertilizing plants. The solution is prepared at the rate of 2 tablespoons per 10 liters of water.

Nitroammophoska

Nitroammophos also contains nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in equal proportions, as well as a small amount of sulfur, which strengthens the immunity of plants. When preparing the solution, use the recommendations set out above.

Wood ash

In addition to its main function of fertilizing the soil, ash also serves to prevent various plant diseases. To feed plants, you can use an ash solution, which is prepared at the rate of 1 tablespoon of ash per 1 liter of hot water. The solution must be infused for 7-10 days, after which it can be used to feed plants every 1.5 weeks.
