It's time for gardeners to get some of their favorite plant seeds out of their storage to decorate their windows, balconies, or flower beds in the country in the summer.

Sowing will begin in January. This primarily concerns ornamental crops.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told which flowers need to be prepared for sowing in January.

Petunia

Among other flowers, the queen of balconies and windowsills is the most capricious. You still need to be able to grow the seedlings so that they bloom in time.

Florists begin sowing in January, no later than February. In addition to maintaining temperature conditions (20-22 degrees Celsius), it will be necessary to illuminate the shoots for 12 hours a day.

Lobelia

An equally spectacular ornamental plant. Just like petunia, it is sown in January or February.

Temperature conditions are 18-20 degrees, but it needs to be illuminated 14 hours a day.

Begonia

Seeds are sown in January or February. Ensure a temperature of 22-24 degrees Celsius.

The backlight is left on for 16 hours.

These plants have small seeds and sowing is carried out in each case in the same way - in moist soil and without subsequent loosening and watering.

It is recommended to press only the begonia seeds slightly. After that, the seed container is covered with film.

Don't forget to plant the seedlings in separate containers, in which they will grow until transplanting into the ground.
