Why experienced gardeners don't throw away banana and orange peels: they'll come in handy in the spring

During the winter period, we are left with quite a lot of organic waste that simply flies into the trash bin.

However, an experienced gardener knows that this is not quite the right decision, since the “skins” of some vegetables and fruits can be used as compost and for processing plants.

In particular, you should save the peels of citrus fruits - oranges, tangerines, and so on.

Why you should use tangerine and orange peels

You can make an infusion from them for treating plants - pour 1 kg of bark with 3 liters of water, close the container and leave for 5 days.

In the spring, pour 100 ml of this infusion and 40 grams of ordinary laundry soap into 10 liters of water.

This makes an excellent remedy for treating spider mites – usually spray up to 6 times.
