How to Bring a Store-Bought Houseplant Home: Beware of Severe Frost

To buy indoor plants, you just need to come to the store, choose a flower and pay for the purchase.

If you have carefully checked the flower for damage or disease, then it is time to take it home.

But if this happens in December, when a stable negative temperature has already set in, then it is not recommended to take the pot out into the cold.

The purchase must be transported in such a way that it is not damaged by strong icy winds and frost.

How to transport a purchased flower home?

First of all, you need to put the flower at least in a box or bag - lift the leaves up so that they do not break.

Houseplants are relatively heat-loving and it is better to refrain from buying them during the cold season.

It is recommended to wrap the flower in several layers of film, put it in a box and keep it outside as little as possible, especially in severe frost.

When you come home, don’t immediately put the flower in the warmest place – let it stand in a cool hallway for at least an hour.
