The indoor plant spathiphyllum is popularly known as "women's happiness". Here we must remember that this is a capricious plant.
And if the owner believes that yellowing leaves will affect her well-being, she needs to save the flower before it becomes bald.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, explained why spathiphyllum turns yellow and how to save it.
First, the plant may not have liked the conditions it was left in.
Spathiphyllum does not like bright sunlight. It would be better to move the flower into the shade before it dies completely.
Secondly, watering is carried out after the top layer of soil has dried out, to a depth of approximately one centimeter.
Thirdly, we must not forget about feeding.
Withering or falling leaves indicate a lack of nutrition. Even in winter, spathiphyllum is fed at least once a month.
Fertilizer is prepared independently from banana peel. This is a proven and universal remedy.
Here is one way to prepare the fertilizer.
1. Dry the peel and grind it into powder.
2. When ready, dissolve the resulting amount of the additive in one liter of water at room temperature and leave for 24 hours.
3. Use a watering solution.
4. You can do it easier by adding banana powder to the soil.
Thanks to this simple addition, the spathiphyllum will come back to life and bloom quite soon.
