Why Plant Beets in Flower Pots: An Easy Way to Get Healthy Greens
Did you know that young beet leaves not only can, but should be added to salads or used as a fresh snack?
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared a method for obtaining fresh beet tops.
To do this, you will need flower pots that will be filled with soil.
Now you can work on the beets: for forcing, select small vegetables weighing approximately 30-80 g.
Cut the roots off the root vegetables and plant them in pots - you can plant several in one.
There is no need to bury the beets completely: about 2-3 cm should remain on the soil surface.
Water the "plantings" and place them under a phytolamp. The leaves will grow larger under additional lighting.
The first leaves will grow in about 10 days, and after the same amount of time, that is, about 20-28 days, you will already be able to cut off juicy, aromatic and, of course, full of benefits beet tops.
