Many owners of such a stunning plant as the Decembrist, known under the “exotic” name of Schlumbergera, would not mind if the plant released buds just in time for the New Year.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , this innocent desire falls into the category of feasible ones.

True, there is one important condition: stimulating the flowering of the Decembrist will bear fruit if your “green pet” had a period of rest.

To do this, in November it was worth taking the pot with the plant into a room where the temperature ranges from +15 to +17 degrees.

Here the Decembrist was supposed to rest for a month.

In December, the Schlumbergera should be returned to a warm room where the thermometer shows between +19 and +23 degrees.

Another requirement that needs to be met if you want to see flowers on the Decembrist: it requires good lighting.

The last thing on the list of mandatory actions is to apply complex fertilizer. If all the points are met, you can count on the festive blooming of the Decembrist.
