How to Grow Potatoes in Bags: Proven Technology for a Big Harvest

You shouldn’t believe the stereotype that only experienced gardeners can get a rich potato harvest.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , even a novice in gardening can cope with this task - even if he has a tiny plot at his disposal, on which there is simply no room to set up a potato "plantation".

In this case, it makes sense to resort to unconventional methods of growing “earth apple” - for example, in bags.

This technology, we repeat, has long been successfully used by owners of small plots where there is no space for a large number of potato beds.

So, to begin with, you will need to get yourself several capacious plastic bags.

If you encounter any difficulties at this stage, you can easily replace the bags with old buckets or barrels - the planting technology will differ slightly.

To fill the container, use a nutrient mixture consisting of manure, humus, soil and compost.

The bags need to be hung in a warm and well-ventilated room. All that remains is to make cuts around the perimeter of the bags, after which you can plant the sprouted tubers in them.
