If your cucumbers produce a poor harvest year after year, you may be planting them incorrectly.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, talks about the main mistakes gardeners make when planting cucumbers.
Firstly, timely planting in the ground is extremely important. Over-keeping seedlings is one of the main reasons for crop failure.
Cucumbers are planted in the ground 35 days after the shoots appear. Young seedlings adapt to new conditions faster.
The second common mistake is too dense planting. With such planting, cucumbers will become sick and smaller.
The distance between seedlings should be at least 20 centimeters, between rows – at least a meter.
