How to Grow Dill on a Windowsill

The daytime air temperature should be about +20 degrees, the nighttime temperature – about +15 degrees. Air humidity – from 40%.

Dill needs daylight for 12-14 hours a day. Phytolamps are usually used. They are placed at a distance of 50 cm from the plants.

The soil mixture should be nutritious and loose and with a neutral pH. You can simply buy a substrate for seedlings "Universal" in a garden store.

Before planting, the seed material is soaked in warm water for 48 hours. The water should be changed periodically.

After this, disinfection is carried out: the seeds are soaked for three hours in a weak solution of potassium permanganate or boric acid (1 teaspoon of acid per glass of warm water), then washed with water.
