It is believed that the summer cottage season falls in spring, summer and autumn.
But in winter, owners of country houses usually take a break.
However, experienced gardeners know: sometimes you have to come to your dacha even in December, January and February.
So, it is advisable to visit your summer cottage immediately after a lot of snow has fallen.
For what purpose? This was told by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
After each snowfall, a whole layer of white precipitation appears on the branches of fruit trees.
These snow "flakes" should be removed as soon as possible. Otherwise, the side shoots will break, resulting in a less fruitful next gardening season.
You can remove snow with a stick "dressed" in fabric. Or you can simply hang bird feeders on trees: birds jumping on the branches will remove a lot of snow.
After a large amount of snow falls and the air temperature drops, mice begin to look for food.
Garden plants often become "victims". Therefore, snowfall is a reason to protect trees from a possible invasion of rodents.
By the way, mice looking for warmth during the frosty period can settle in a summer house. Therefore, it is worth setting traps in the building.
Finally, it should be emphasized: some gardeners come to their dachas to trample down the snow around the trees. But you shouldn't do this: contrary to popular belief, the procedure doesn't produce much of an effect.
